European Youth Week

European Youth Week is sadly over. Praxis Greece organisation made a lot of effort to spread Erasmus+ mobility opportunities amongst the greek youth in Serres. The main goal of this year as Europe's challenges are solidarity, inclusion, democracy and active citizenship. There was a big sport event in Serres on the main street, and with the posters of the European Youth Week the EVS volunteers took many pictures, and talked with the youth about the Europe Youth Week. Praxis Greece went to TEI University of Serres to promote the Erasmus+ mobility opportunities amongst the university students. After the university at Rodon 95 fm EVS volunteers did a broadcast about the same topic, and talked about their own experiences via Erasmus+. World Book & Copyright Day

World Book & Copyright Day is annually held on 23 rd of April designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world. For this year’s World Book Day we decided to visit the public library of Serres together with our friends from Serres local Refugee Camp. In our Youth Centre we work together with them every day: giving the kids and grown-ups language lessons; providing them Computers, to discover the Worldwide Web; and integrate them into our lives by playing and having fun with them. For World Book Day we had the idea to show them the public library to get more in touch with books and reading itself. And as they are our Radio Reporters for radio station Rodon FM. They prepared questions to ask people at the library about their favorite books and authors. Have a look at our photo gallery!

Radio broadcast about music

Last Thursday (8th of June) we had a pleasure to host a radio broadcast about music. And also our friend from Radio Reporters project joined us in the studio. Music is surrounding us evey day in one way or another and I would say most of us enjoy listening or playing music in their life. But also, music can have bigger influence than just offer us some entertainment. Have you heared something about the project called "Playing for Change" or benefit event "One love Manchester" or mass demonstrations that happened in Estonia between years 1987-1991 now known as "Singing Revolution"? Those are just few examples we talked about in the broadcast. Also our friend Daher from Iraq joined us in the studio to introduce us some of his favourite songs from his country.
