World Book & Copyright Day is annually held on 23rd of April designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
For
this year’s World Book Day we decided to visit the public library of
Serres together with our friends from Serres local Refugee Camp. In our
Youth Centre we work together with them every day: giving the kids and
grown-ups language lessons; providing them Computers, to discover the
Worldwide Web; and integrate them into our lives by playing and having
fun with them.
For
World Book Day we had the idea to show them the public library to get
more in touch with books and reading itself. And as they are our Radio
Reporters for radio station Rodon FM. They prepared questions to ask
people at the library about their favorite books and authors. Have a
look at our photo gallery!
